A Cold and Wet Wednesday

A very cold and wet Wednesday....coffee number the two for the day from Starbucks.

Rainy Days...

I love rainy days, coffee and books! Unfortunately I had work today so I could not stay home and enjoy my three favorite things, but I could get a treat to have....

My treat came in the form of a cold brew from Chick-Fil-A this morning on the way to work.  If you have not tried one, I highly recommend you do so.  Treat yo' self! Try the vanilla one....oh its good!

Presidents Day

A great start to my day off with some Vanilla Creme Puff Coffee and a little frothed milk....yum!

A plus for the day...tacos with my girlfriends.  I am huge so forgive me.  I am seeing a doctor on Thursday to see what has started happening to me in the last few weeks and really the year. Wish me luck!

Sunday Funday Celebrating Late Birthdays

Again nothing finer than a birthday breakfast celebrating a friend.  Today was a fun time with my friend Kim over biscuits and gravy and a good cup of coffee.

Welcome to Friday, y'all! My day off and that makes it even better. 

My second cup of coffee today was a nice cold brew I made in my KitchenAid cold brew thingy I got for Christmas....and it was GOOD! This spring and summer I know I will be using it a lot! 

I also have a plus! I got to have a great lunch and afternoon with my friend, Cissy.  We always have a great discussion on all things.  Today was great!!! It was for sure a YAY day :)!!

And look at this beautiful photo my daughter sent me this morning via snapchat.  She had a beautiful latte and boy am I jealous. Pretty, pretty!

Valentine's Day 2018

Happy Valentine's Day Y'all!  Mama does need some coffee and that is just what she got this morning. :) Some yummy Starbucks Toasted Graham to start the day off right.

Monday, Monday....

I missed posting yesterday :( my first day to miss....

I did capture a photo of my coffee in my lovely SCAD mug, along with my cute coffee stir stick (Sip Sp Hooray). Yay! So I had good intentions.

I loved this photo I found on Pinterest this morning.  It is so true for a Monday, don't you think?! Yes me too!

After grocery shopping and onto carpool with a little iced coffee refreshment from Starbucks to get me through the afternoon.  Have a great Monday and go watch some Olympics action!

Cherry Mocha

WooHoo!  Saturday!  It was a work day so I thought I would grab something from Starbucks to take to work with me.  I decided to give the Cherry Mocha a try since its the special drink until Valentine's Day.

It was pretty good, reminded me of those cherry cordials candies my grandpa loved.  While it was pretty good, I don't think I would try it again.

Friday...rest day

A total rest day at home with a couple of cups of Donut Shop Vanilla Creme Puff and this yummy creamer.  Yes I love you a latte!

Coffee and Friends

Thursday!! Yay! Starting the day off with some more of the yummy Starbucks Toasted Graham before taking my son to school and then to have some girlfriend time before work...a great way to start the day!

I love this Rae Dunn mug.  It is the only one of that brand I have.  I am always on the lookout when I go to TJ Maxx or Marshall's, but I have not been lucky to find any there. I bought this one off of eBay, unfortunately people buy them up and sell them for way too much on there. One day I will find them in a store!

So true!  So happy to have friends around that I can meet with for some coffee and talk time.  We all had things we needed our friends to help us through this morning.  So thankful and grateful to have them.

Low on Inspiration today..

Such an ordinary day...I was not feeling my best today, thank goodness tomorrow is a new day so better things to come. Reaching for my inner Scarlet O'Hara there with my thoughts of tomorrow. Today I had another of my favorite K Cups, this one being Starbucks Graham. And it has great graham cracker flavor...so good and toasty.

Yes thank you coffee for getting me through the morning.  So ready to feel better, not just a 60% but a 100% better...heck I would settle for 80%. Again totally Scarlet O'Hara thoughts.

Give this K-Cup a try!  So good!! I am already looking forward to tomorrow morning.  I am joining some friends at Summer Moon before work.  If you remember my earlier post on Summer Moon, it is so good!!! Yay for coffee and friends.

Coffee and a Plus

Happy Tuesday! Today after my morning cup at home (Coffee Shop Vanilla Creme Puff again) and after I took my son to school, I made a stop at Starbucks for an iced nonfat Smoked Butterscotch Latte.  It is my new favorite drink to order there.  So good!

Yum!  Iced Smoked Butterscotch Latte ..... so good!

And my plus for the day.. a late cup of vanilla creme puff and a face mask to end the night. Have a great one!

Today's post is a Plus part of A Year of Coffee (plus)

Tonight I was able to get out to have a fun night with my girlfriends at a local place called 8/11.  It is a neat little wine bar and cafe.  It was actually a cold night but with the fire pit at the table and the portable heaters (plus they gave us blankets) it was actually cozy.  The place was having their Bachelor watching party going on while we were there and that was kind of fun.  I had never watched The Bachelor so it was a little amusing and disturbing at the same time...ha!

So it was a great Monday for me, now it will be hard to go to work tomorrow as a fun night. But yes I will have lovely cup (or two) of coffee to start my Tuesday tomorrow.  Sweet dreams all and again thank you for stopping by.

Sunny Sunday Day 3 of A Year of Coffee (Plus)

Woohoo!! It was a beauty day here.  Sunny and nice so we had to get out of the house and see what we could find.  We had some lunch and did some shopping.  We ended up on our way home stopping at the cute Frogg Coffee Bar & Creperie.  I had been once before with my sweet daughter but today it was the husband, son and I.  I got a yummy iced vanilla latte and my husband got a hot chocolate.  While you wait you can watch as they make crepes.

Day 2 of A Year of Coffee (Plus)

Work day...Saturday means coffee at home and some quiet time before heading to work.

Yes I love my Keurig, don't you love yours? Of coarse you do. :) Today I had some lovely Donut Shop Vanilla Cream Puff. 

I have a cute little coffee station or coffee bar set up with all my mugs, coffee K Cups, straws, and coffee stirs. I love the little strings of lights I added to the area.  

Saturday pick me up was a little chilled coffee frappuccino and it hit the spot for sure.  I know this all seems silly to sit and talk about coffee and post photos of coffee, but I wanted to document a year on a blog just to say I did so and I thought why not focus on coffee... I will post other things as well but for now its coffee to get through a year. :) if you are reading this, thank you for stopping by...I hope you did not get too bored but hope you enjoyed it. I am a silly old person just looking to smile.

First Post .... YAY!

Today is my first post here at "A Year of Coffee (Plus)" and what better place to start it at than... Summer Moon Wood Fired Coffee in Frisco.  I have a love of coffee and even though I had already had a cup at home before taking my son to school, I still had a need for more.  So it was a sunshiny day ahead and it called for an iced coffee (YUM).  I got my usual, the Winter Moon, which is the iced version of their Summer Moon.  They make this awesome moon milk that is soooo good and sweet, but I need to watch the intake so I went with a Winter Moon - half moon and it did not disappoint.

Love the inside of Summer Moon... the exposed brick wall of one of the oldest shops in downtown Frisco was converted to house the lovely coffee shop.  

Brick side walks just add to the charm of the old main street that is coming to life with shops, restaurants, and more.  Just wish our city was still a small town...sigh!

I have a problem on days I do not have to get to work right away with sitting in my car looking through Instagram/facebook/snapchat etc like I did this morning for 30 MINUTES! UGH! But it was good to just sit and relax. Car sitting is what we call it here at our house.  :)
